You will work directly with the Filene Research Institute. This institute strengthens organizations through innovative research and incubation to improve consumer financial well-being. Job Purpose:
The Marketing Communications Intern will plan, implement and track results for a variety of marketing communications programs across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have familiarity planning and executing multi-touch campaigns, as well as previous experience using content management and marketing automation systems (e.g Salesforce, Pardot, Craft, Cision, social media analytics, etc.). We are seeking a motivated self-starter who is passionate about the Filene brand, has a way with words, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop promotional and communications plans for a wide variety of projects, including lead gen/sales campaigns, public relations, e-newsletters, brand and collateral, event promotions and digital communications.
Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities based on a set of provided objectives.
Write content for print and web media.
Review and edit marketing publications to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with marketing team members to create and execute marketing projects.
Collaborate across departments to gather information and successfully execute project work.
Provide estimates of project costs and recommend the most economical and efficient methods of production.
Ensure that the company’s corporate branding is executed as appropriate in all communications.
Assist with website updates, podcast transcription, social media content creation, webinar/event execution, and email automated journey campaign management.
Measure and report on campaign impact and achievement of campaign goals.
Analyze campaign results and metrics; produce analytics reports.
Collaborate with technology team on data entry, data cleaning and data maintenance for marketing email lists.
Model Filene Credo and play a key role in maintaining the culture of the organization through personal and cross-functional accountabilities.
Actively support the achievement of Filene’s strategic objectives, plan, budget, and metrics in a manner consistent with Filene’s mission, values, and brand.
Provide extraordinary service to Filene’s staff, members, and stakeholders.
Understand and engage in Filene’s complete body of work including research and advisory programs to connect member needs with Filene solutions that can best meet those needs.
Prioritize and manage workload to aggressive deadlines.

Job Requirements:
Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent communications skills
Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn
Preferred Experience:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing and proofreading.
Ability to actively manage and prioritize several tasks simultaneously, amidst ongoing and constant change.
Passion for purpose and precision, including high-level of organization and keen attention to detail.
Willingness to take initiative and work independently, while also contributing to a dynamic team.
Intellectually curious about credit unions and their members.
Enjoy working in a “think tank” environment where ideation, continually embracing change, being restless with the status quo and seeking reinvention is part of the culture.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge of financial services preferred, but not required.
Experience with customer relationship management systems (e.g. Salesforce) and/or marketing automation platforms (e.g. Pardot) preferred, but not required.
Experience with web page editing using a content management system (e.g. Craft) preferred, but not required.
Experience with data entry and data cleaning preferred, but not required.
Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative market-facing research preferred, but not required.

Base Salary Range:
$18.00 – $28.00
