Intern – IT Service Desk

Position Summary:  Internship Program Overview – Midrex’s 2025 Summer Internship Program offers an immersive assignment to undergraduate and graduate students, enhancing their understanding of the business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a people centric organization. Midrex offers a 20-40 hour per week, paid internship that begins with an orientation in May and concludes in early August.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The internship will consist of a tiered ticketing-based assignments to broaden learning, experience, organizational knowledge and business acumen.  Potential Areas of Learning:

• Technical Support – Respond to teammate generated tickets to resolve basic IT issues.
• Documentation – Log and track incidents and resolutions in the IT ticketing system, creating knowledge articles for future use.
• Asset Management – Assist with the buildout, repair and refreshing of computers based on specific teammate needs.

Skills/Abilities:

Required:

• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and general troubleshooting practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
