Vast is looking for a Finance Intern to work closely with the CFO and finance team to conduct market research and financial analysis in support of building the world’s first commercial space station. 

This full-time internship will start in January or February 2025, with a duration of 12-weeks at our Long Beach, CA Headquarters.

During this internship, you may gain experience in: 

  • Investor Research and Fund Analysis
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis
  • Database and Systems Management
  • Data-Driven Reporting
  • Presentation and Communication
  • Ad-hoc Modeling and Profitability Optimization

Responsibilities will vary depending on the intern’s area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, Statistics, Finance, or a non-finance major with a demonstrated interest in finance or business
  • PowerPoint or Google Slides experience
  • Excel or Google Sheets experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Highly analytical with a strong understanding of quantitative methods and attention to precision
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to drive consensus across teams
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Experience in critical thinking to develop grounded recommendations and optimize impact

Pay Range 

  • $33/hr Bachelor’s
  • $38/hr Master’s

Salary Range: California

$33 – $38 USD

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS

The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing. This status includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and asylees and refugees with such status granted, not pending.
