The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Northeastern University offers minors, a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) on the Boston campus. The Boston MS-SLP program is an ASHA accredited program which offers a 60-credit degree.

About the Opportunity

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences is seeking five Visiting Assistant Clinical Professors for a 52-week full-time non-tenure track faculty positions for the Masters of Speech Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program at the Center for Health Sciences campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. Faculty in this role will report to the CSD Assistant Program Director in Charlotte and will work closely and collaboratively with the MS-SLP Program Director and the CSD Department Chair based in Boston.

Responsibilities

Teaching and advising responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: teaching courses for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, supervising of students during the process of provision of clinical services, including reviewing of documentation, debriefings, and ongoing meetings; participating in assigned University, College, and Departmental committees and related Departmental activities; participating in professional organization activities and conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD, EdD, PhD, ScD and/or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology by appointment start date.

  • ASHA Certification by appointment start date.

  • North Carolina State License by appointment start date.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ clinical experience 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience providing clinical supervision  

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of administrative experience preferred 

  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred.

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • Preferred qualification of a terminal degree in education or related field to SLP and rehabilitation sciences (e.g. EdD, PhD, ScD).
