Position Overview

The Vice President of Marketing will lead the strategic and operational marketing efforts for a dynamic, non-franchise B2B services company. This role is responsible for driving demand generation, brand positioning, and customer engagement to accelerate business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in B2B marketing, with expertise in digital, content, and product marketing, and a passion for delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business goals, focusing on demand generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and refine marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, contributing to the overall business strategy.

Demand Generation & Customer Acquisition

  • Lead demand generation efforts, leveraging digital marketing, account-based marketing (ABM), and other strategies to attract and convert high-value clients.
  • Implement and optimize marketing automation tools and CRM systems to manage campaigns and track leads.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives and enhance the lead-to-revenue process.

Brand Development & Messaging

  • Oversee the company’s brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and differentiation across all touchpoints.
  • Develop and manage thought leadership initiatives, including content marketing, whitepapers, webinars, and case studies, to establish the company as a trusted industry leader.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts align with the company’s value proposition and resonate with target audiences.

Product & Service Marketing

  • Partner with product and service teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new offerings, including messaging, pricing, and launch plans.
  • Create marketing collateral and tools that empower the sales team to communicate the value of the company’s solutions effectively.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Partner with other departments, including sales, product, and customer success, to ensure alignment and shared success.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team, contributing to company-wide initiatives and decision-making.

Performance Measurement & Budget Management

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular performance reports to the executive team, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive growth.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
