Event Description:

Youth Villages is hosting an exclusive on-site Interview Day at the University of Memphis on October 17, 2024, for master’s level students interested in internships for Spring 2025. This is an opportunity to explore impactful internships in children’s mental and behavioral health, where you can make a real difference.

This Interview Day is an RSVP- only event with limited spots available. We invite you to submit your resume today. If you’re a strong fit, a recruiter will reach out to discuss your experience and provide you with all the necessary details of the interview day including interview time and location.

The final deadline to apply for the interview day is October 10th, but spots are limited so we recommend applying as soon as possible. 

Applicants must be pursuing a Master’s degree in the Social Service field at the University of Memphis to attend this event.

Youth Villages’ commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success spans more than 30 years and includes a comprehensive array of programs and services including:

• Home-Based Counseling (Intercept)
• Treatment Foster Care
• LifeSet Transitional Living Services
• Crisis Services

Intern placement with a specific program within each office is determined during the interview process and depends on the current availability, the student’s experience and education level, and the academic requirements of the program.

• At the Master’s level, graduate students will have the opportunity to:
• Shadow counselors
• Assist with clinical assessments and documentation
• Learn clinical documentation and electronic medical records systems
• Carry a reduced caseload, implementing family, individual or group therapy
• Participate in treatment team and consultation meetings as well as receive individual supervision.

Our programs use treatment models that have been proven effective including:

• Multisystemic Therapy
• Multidimensional Foster Care
• Re-ED
• Family Treatment Model

Today, more than 4,500 counselors, teachers, and skilled support staff provide Youth Villages’ services throughout 27 states, serving 43,000 kids annually. Requirements:
Must be pursuing a Master’s degree in the Social Service field.
