Who We Are
We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.
Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus – Orlando.
Hourly rate: $16.00
The USTA Collegiate Department works closely with key industry partners like the NCAA and the ITA to grow collegiate tennis across the United States. This department is involved in various initiatives throughout the year to support both players and coaches, fostering the growth and success of college tennis. The intern will have the opportunity to assist in planning and executing events, educating players and parents about collegiate tennis opportunities, supporting coaches with valuable resources, and helping increase player participation through pro circuit events on college campuses.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of collegiate tennis events, including the NCAA Championship and other major tournaments.
  • Support outreach efforts to educate players, parents, and coaches about college tennis opportunities, including pathways for high school players.
  • Help create and distribute resources for coaches to enhance their programs and support student-athletes.
  • Aid in promoting and coordinating pro circuit events held on college campuses to increase play opportunities for college players.
  • Assist with communications and marketing initiatives related to collegiate tennis, including social media posts, newsletters, and event promotion.
  • Conduct research to identify trends and best practices in college tennis, helping to shape future initiatives and partnerships.
  • Provide logistical support for various projects and events within the Collegiate Department.

Who You Are
  • Strong interest in collegiate sports, particularly tennis, and a passion for growing and supporting college tennis programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and inform diverse audiences.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of collegiate athletics, particularly tennis, is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with event planning and social media management is beneficial.
