Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager, IT Network Systems to join our rapidly growing team! As a Technical Project Manager, you will oversee solutioning, design, documentation, implementation for IT Network systems. You will work closely with business and IT teams across Network systems to ensure alignment of strategy and implementation. You will ensure IT network system solutions integrate strategically into upstream & downstream workflows for IT provisioning, inventory and service assurance systems in alignment with north star architecture.

As Technical Project Manager, IT Network Systems, your responsibilities will include:

Drive the design and define the solutions and implementation strategies to support Network Systems applications including Engineering, Service Assurance, NOC and Field Operations. Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links. Leverage deep understanding of system interactions across Network systems including Engineering, NOC, Service Assurance and Field operation systems and the interfacing upstream/downstream systems. Provide technical leadership for design and decision making in an effort to appropriately build and implement seamless network systems that integrate seamlessly with our internal solutions. Work closely with vendors and 3rd party product owners for driving and implementing solutions, cross functional teams, and vendor partners to manage progress on solutions development and drive rapid progress. Monitor network performance, test for weaknesses, and implement solutions to resolve any identified issues. Regularly assess new technologies and best practices, drive standardization and automation into our network systems, and maintain expertise in network systems technologies to ensure that cost-effective solutions are deployed and aligned with the changing demand of the business. Present program updates/status to our leadership and stakeholders, as well as interface and effectively communicate with various internal and external systems and stakeholders regarding network systems operability. Review, evaluate, and prioritize new network systems requests from stakeholders and subsequently driving the addition of features to the network systems to enable new capabilities. Position is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, but employee will be permitted to work from home at various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the United States. 


Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years’ post-baccalaureate experience as a Senior Software Engineer or related role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience must include operating with Fixed and Mobile Satellite Broadband domains; integrating EMS and NMS networks; provisioning with network management systems; ensuring service availability; and leveraging Java, web services, SOAP REST, JSON, XML, JavaScript frameworks (including jQuery and ExtJS), Informatica Cloud, JBoss, SOA, EAP, Weblogic, and Oracle.
  • Position is headquartered in Charlotte, NC,
