At Colgate-Palmolive, we offer an exceptional Internship Program within our Global Information Technology organization. This internship is a six-month paid hybrid program, starting in January and continuing into the spring semester as part-time with opportunity to extend. As an integral part of our team, interns will gain exposure to enterprise business practices and modern technologies. Each intern will contribute to new and existing projects through hands-on experience with software engineering, application configurations, and process implementation throughout the development lifecycle.

 

The internship begins with a 2-week training session, designed to introduce interns to the company’s culture, policies, and technologies. Afterwards, each intern is assigned to a unique project and dedicated mentor depending on the available projects and intern’s interests. Projects may involve Backend Development, Frontend Development, and more. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in mandatory 2-week training session

  • Participate on a team to design, configure, and build software

  • Meet with direct team, stakeholders, and end-users

  • Research to solve complex problems

  • Deliver presentation of results and contributions to leadership

  • Additional responsibilities will be dependent upon specific project assignment

 

Requirements:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at a college or university with a graduation date of or later than May 2025

  • Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Documentation of authorization to work in the United States, not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • A minimum GPA of 2.8

  • Demonstrated familiarity with programming languages through course or personal projects

  • Previous work experience with software development or web-related technologies is a plus 

  • Must be available to work hybrid at our Piscataway, NJ office location throughout the entire internship

    • Every Tuesday or Wednesday, specific hours are flexible 

  • This position requires a 6-month commitment (January-June)

    • Must be available to work 35 hours/week during the winter break and 15 hours/week during the academic semester

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $23.00 – $32.50 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate’s 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
