Description
Intrepidus Talent Solutions has a part-time remote opportunity for a current upper level or graduate student who is curious, imaginative, and likes to work on challenging problems. You will write real software and do meaningful work automating complex HR processes in collaboration with functional experts. You will work with company leaders and influence the evolution of company technology and lead mission critical projects early in your career. Your design and code will contribute to creating solutions for complex technical challenges in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced functional experts to conceive, design, and bring innovative HR automation solutions to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a distributed computing environment
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science and related fields with an expected graduation date between 10/2025 – 6/2027, and experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or natural language processing.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Experience with data querying and transformation with SQL or Python.
• Exposure to cloud-based computing environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or coursework in at least two of the following areas: i) programming Java, C++, Prolog, or Python.
• Using NLP and LLMs to interpret textual data and work with conversational interfaces.
• Building machine learning models to improve customer experience or key processes
• Experience or coursework with machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and predictive modeling
