GENERAL FUNCTION
The Internal Audit (IA) department of EssilorLuxottica is a dynamic entry point into the global organization. . This position will work independently and in a team environment to complete audit projects and the annual control testing program.This position will develop and maintain effective business relationships and partnerships with audited areas to ensure mutual understanding of audit scope, procedures, and project progress.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver results by being a self-motivated individual who can consistently meet or exceed expectations and is motivated to drive improvements in departmental efficiency or audit effectiveness while executing the audit plan.
- Explore ways to create value and collaborate effectively across the global audit team to deliver on our mission and strategy.
- Lead, plan and execute multiple audit projects by developing audit scope, workpapers, and reports.
- Work in concert with the internal audit leaders to design test plans and perform control testing.
- Support further development of data analytic tools and techniques to increase efficiency and testing coverage.
- Proactively provide periodic updates to management and the departmental leadership team regarding status of audits and other projects in process.
- Meet with auditees to communicate audit results and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships and partnerships
- Mentor departmental staff and interns as needed.
- Develop skills necessary for advancement to other opportunities within the company or within the Internal Audit team.
- Participate in global internal audit engagements and projects as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years’ of experience in external or internal audit roles
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced interactive, results-based team environment.
- Strong leadership, business acumen, recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Computer expertise including knowledge of audit-preparation software and an understanding of the impact of technology.
- Ability and desire to travel both within the US and internationally up to 25% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, CIA, CISA
- Spanish language skills a significant plus
- TeamMate, ACL, and other related audit software skills; SAP experience is a plus
- Data analytics experience
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
