RCN Capital, LLC is a national, direct private lender providing time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties, provide bridge loans, and provide real estate-backed lines of credit.
We’re excited to be seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team! This position will primarily be responsible for preparing monthly adjusting journal entries and financial statements, account reconciliations and accounts payable, but is intended to grow into more complex tasks over time. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree in accounting, strong MS Excel skills, experience with Accounts Payable, a knowledge of General Ledger systems, and have some exposure to NetSuite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly adjusting journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Check AP activity for accuracy
- Run weekly AP checks
- Analyze larger AP invoices
- Code credit card statements for entry
- Crosstrain in other accounting roles to provide support to Accounting team
- Approve wires
- Assist with annual budget and audit
- Additional tasks and projects as assigned
Required Skills:
- Quantitative thinker with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficiency in NetSuite or other comparable GL system
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Database knowledge a plus
Required Experience:
- 4+ years of experience with the month end close process including adjusting journal entries and financial statements
- Experience with annual aduits and preparing workpapers.
- Experience with budgets and preparation.
- Experience in the mortgage, lending, or banking industries a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA preferred

- Full time
- 9:00AM to 6:00PM
