VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking four individuals to fill four School Psychologist Intern positions for the 2025-2026 school year.
JOB SUMMARY: The school psychologist interns will assist existing psychologists in the Valley View School District with caseload management tasks including, completing assessments and participating in the IEP process, facilitating groups and supporting instruction within the classroom. Knowledge of and background in the Problem-Solving Model would be preferable as the ideal school psychologist intern would in-service staff on the use of Curriculum Based Measurement (CBM) for the purposes of progress monitoring. Additional duties as may from time to time be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policies and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university in either a Masters or Doctoral School Psychology Program
- Experience in pre-referral intervention planning and problem-solving, behavior management strategies, counseling, peer mediation, and parent training are strongly desired
- Expertise in curriculum-based measurements, authentic, classroom-based assessments techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s)
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
WORKING CONDITIONS: The salary for this position is a $18,000.00 stipend.
