    The School District of Bayfield is seeking a Response To Intervention (RTI) Coach for the middle school. 

    The RTI Instructional Coach is a teacher who has both content and instructional expertise particularly in reading, writing, and/or math. The RTI Instructional Coach, together with administrators and classroom teachers, looks at student work and designs standards-based, high- quality instruction. The RTI Instructional Coach serves as a member of a building leadership team working to align district and building goals and to evaluate student data in support of effective school improvement planning. The RTI Instructional Coach works collaboratively with other instructional leaders to design and deliver professional development as directed. As a member of a professional coaching community, the RTI Instructional Coach participates in professional development and inquiry into his or her own instructional leadership practice.

    Job Description:  To support and guide the RTI/PBIS team with full implementation school wide with fidelity and sustainability.  The middle school RTI coach will also be the middle school representative for the RTI team.

    The PBIS Coach will:  
    Performance Responsibilities:

     

    • Assist district and school administrators in the implementation of RTI, balanced assessment, assessment literacy, and classroom assessment for student learning.
    • Monitor, maintain and share out student achievement data at middle school staff meetings.
    • Evaluate, purchase, distribute and provide support for middle school intervention materials.
    • Attend and participate in trainings, meetings and RTI events:
    • Attend RTI/PBIS meetings that are scheduled throughout the school year.
    • Assist with organizing RtI events throughout the school year (e.g., School year Kick-Off party, classroom contests, Winter Carnival, family nights, etc.)
    • Attend trainings that are necessary for full implementation of RTI (e.g., Tier I and Tier II training, School-wide Implementation Review (SIR) survey, etc.) 

    Qualifications: 

    • Current School District of Bayfield employee
    • Current Wisconsin Teacher licensure
    • Knowledge of research related to Response to Interventions and supports at all three tiers: universal, secondary and tertiary.
    • Experience planning and conducting professional development/training.
    • Demonstrate leadership and project organizational skills (planning, implementing, evaluation)
    • Ability to work collaboratively with various groups and gain consensus related to project implementation and other problem solving.
    • Experience in data-based decision making.
    • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams and groups (teachers, parents, administrators and support staff)
