Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a Prepaid System Billing Analyst to join our expanding Finance Systems team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our prepaid billing systems, specifically within the S4/HANA and Zuora platforms. Your focus will be on ensuring accurate billing processes, system enhancements, and effective management of prepaid transactions. This position will report to the Manager of Billing Systems within the Finance organization.

As A Prepaid System Billing Analyst, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensure Financial Accuracy: Manage and meticulously reconcile prepaid accounts, guaranteeing precise recording and reporting of all prepaid transactions, which is crucial for maintaining financial integrity.
  • Enhance System Capabilities: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features or modifications in the prepaid billing systems, driving continuous improvements in system performance and user experience.
  • Optimize Billing Processes: Analyze and streamline prepaid billing processes, leading to enhanced efficiency, reduced errors, and increased operational accuracy.
  • Maintain Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of prepaid billing data, ensuring that all transactions are correctly captured and reported.
  • Facilitate Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Finance, and other departments to swiftly resolve billing issues and implement system improvements that benefit the entire organization.
  • Track Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to prepaid billing, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and improve system performance.
  • Resolve Billing Challenges: Research, triage, and resolve complex prepaid billing issues, minimizing operational disruptions and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure Compliance: Provide expert guidance on prepaid billing practices, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and company policies, and maintaining compliance across all transactions.
  • Evaluate Project Impact: Assess the impact of new projects on prepaid billing systems, ensuring that all changes are seamlessly integrated and aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to Technical Projects: Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes on cross-functional projects, offering valuable insights on prepaid billing systems.
  • Document Business Requirements: Define, document, and communicate business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment across all teams involved.
  • Guide Reporting Accuracy: Offer expert guidance on reporting fields related to prepaid billing, ensuring that data is accurately captured and effectively used for decision-making.
  • Maintain System Integrity: Perform system administration duties, ensuring the ongoing reliability, security, and optimal performance of prepaid billing systems.
  • Adapt to Changing Needs: Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the Finance Systems team’s evolving needs.

Qualifications

What It Takes To Catch our Eye:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a systems analyst
  • Proficiency in S4/HANA and Zuora, particularly in managing prepaid billing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills for collaborative work across teams in the organization
  • Familiarity with industry-specific prepaid billing regulations and revenue recognition principles
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with SAP BRIM
  • Experience with ERP systems
