Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Associate, IT Network Systems to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be part of Program Office for Network IT and reporting into the lead program manager. You will be cross functional working closely with Business and IT teams across Network systems to ensure alignment of strategy and implementation. You will ensure IT network system solutions integrate strategically into upstream & downstream workflows for IT provisioning, inventory and service assurance systems in alignment with north star architecture. This involves helping the delivery teams with business requirements, external dependencies, schedule management, testing and go-live strategy. In this role, you will be involved in helping team members with successful deliveries which involves managing vendors and their resources. You will work across workstreams under the guidance of a portfolio program lead to ensure the success of the group and would also involve activities like budget management, executive status reporting, etc. As an integral team member, you will be involved in establishing processes and create a congenial atmosphere leading to great team culture. You will be a proactive individual with great problem-solving skills to be able to help the Program Lead manage the portfolio effectively.
As a Portfolio Associate, IT Network Systems, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing SDLC for project deliveries and enhance implementation strategies to support network systems applications
- Balancing priorities from multiple areas and help removing roadblocks for the teams
- Working closely with vendors and 3rd party product owners to enable people
- Working closely with cross functional teams & vendor partners to manage progress on solutions development and drive rapid progress
- Presenting and assisting with program status
- Ensuring the teams are following the AGILE delivery model
- Assist with the budget management
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience
- 3+ years’ experience driving software development lifecycle and managing IT solutions
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical information
- Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills, ability to negotiate, often at higher levels
- Project management skills
- Experience in AGILE delivery & implementation models
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Prior experience with telecom industry, preferably in Network systems
- Expertise with Jira Administration
- Project Management certification like PMP
