Physician – Gastroenterology
Job Summary:  Tryon Medical Partners is looking for a Gastroenterologist to provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manage both common and complex diseases.  You should be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with patients, their primary care providers, other physicians, including at times oncologists, to coordinate and provide seem less gastrointestinal care.
  • Ordering and interpreting specialized tests to diagnose patient gastrointestinal illnesses.
  • Proficiency in interpreting serious radiological tests including CT scans, MRI scans, x-ray reports, ultrasound testing, among others.
  • Competently perform endoscopic tests to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract.
Requirements:
 
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
  • Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine.
  • Valid North Carolina medical license.
Experience:​​​​
  • Completion of 3 year Gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
  • Ability to concentrate on details.
  • Use of computer for long periods of time.
