Summary
The Physical Therapist assists clients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore maximum function. This will be an on call position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation and treatment of various diagnoses/disorders in accordance with physician orders, working directly with clients and caregivers to offer education and instructions.
- Provide support and counseling to individuals and families concerning loss of function, and coping with issues as they relate.
- Supervise, contribute to performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Physical Therapy students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organization requirements, completing discharge documentation as directed.
- Maintain up-to-date programs and techniques to enhance physical therapy services provided.
- Support various other Rehab responsibilities as needed.
Job Specifications
Education, Experience and Credentials
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in Physical Therapy required.
• One or more years hands-on experience working with a geriatric population preferred.
• Must be licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist and must maintain licensure.
• CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.
