Job Summary:
As Community Marketing Operations intern, you will assist in the administrative tasks related to the planning, production, and execution of high-quality local events and marketing campaigns with the goal of driving new clients for Mercer Advisors. In this unique role you will sit on the community marketing team, under the supervision of the Marketing Director, but also work closely with the marketing operations team and local branches.
Applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills with background and/or interest in marketing and event planning. The successful applicant will have an entrepreneurial mindset, while also thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced “one team” environment. Your 10-week long summer internship will be filled with opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and the chance to apply coursework to real-world experiences.
Essential Job Functions for the Internship will include:
- Work on data and reporting for the community marketing team, including updating budgets and key metrics for senior stakeholders.
- Assist the community marketing team with logistics for event planning and coordination.

- Maintain Salesforce, ensuring marketing campaigns, events, and all related prospect opportunities are properly recorded.
- Manage attendee lists for events and update internal stakeholders on RSVP and attendance lists for events.
Required Knowledge, Ability and Skills
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelors (as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) or Master’s program
- Excellent Microsoft Office proficient skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Salesforce a plus.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and shift priorities as needed.
- Proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Schedule
8:00am to 5:00pm local office time
Working Conditions
Professional office environment. Working inside, sitting, standing. Will be assigned to a workstation. No heavy lifting over 20 lbs.
