Responsibilities:
Supports organizational marketing strategy and brand identity for the organization’s programs and fundraising through social and independent media management and relevant networks; Work closely with staff on program and event marketing campaigns and strategies; Develop interactive Social Media promotions to engage members and the community; Create and manage electronic and publicly printed newsletter campaigns to educate the public about programs and services; Assist staff in the planning and preparation and execution of special events; Volunteer recruitment operations; Assist with customer service; Execute posting schedule and respond to comments under supervision.
Critical Skills:
Social Media management: Must be able to create, generate, edit, publish and share content through text, images, video, and more for our YMCA’s social media and other relevant platforms.
Graphic Design: Must be able to develop design concepts applying the Y brand following the YMCA guidelines and parameters of graphics, typestyles, papers, and colors.
Produce design concepts for posters, flyers, announcements, and more for our programs and events
Qualifications
- Must be 18 to 24 years old.
- Must be currently enrolled in a postsecondary or a high school senior.
- Must be a resident of Westmoreland or Fayette County.
- Must be enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, or related postsecondary major or area of career interest.
- Preferably a postsecondary major with a concentration in Social Media.
