Open Until Filled Primary Purpose:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with minimum of 3 years’ experience,
Provide psychological services in assessment, behavior intervention, and counseling for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems;
Assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services;
Facilitate the ARD process in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
Current enrollment in Master’s degree program in School Psychology from accredited college or university
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including positive behavior supports
Knowledge of psycho-social development
Consultation skills for conferencing with campus administrators, teachers, parents, and students
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Enrollment in a NASP-approved program at an accredited college or university is preferred.
Salary: Instructional Support PG4/198 days
