We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in various areas of law, including but not limited to corporate law, intellectual property, compliance, and research. The Legal Intern will work closely with our legal team, supporting a range of projects and learning about different facets of legal practice.
This role is on-site, based out of Santa Clara.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on various topics, including case laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as organizing files, managing databases, and updating records.
- Participate in client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings to observe and take notes.
- Help prepare summaries, reports, and presentations on legal findings and case strategies.
- Review and analyze policies, laws, and regulations that may impact the business.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure legal compliance in business operations.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a law program (J.D. or equivalent) or enrolled in a Bachelor’s program interested in pursuing a career in law.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Compensation for all interns at Tenstorrent ranges from $50/hr – $70/hr including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
