Job Summary:
Our IT Support Intern will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance to employees and clients on a variety of healthcare platforms. This will include computer systems, hardware, or software issues. You will also respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, determine and implement solutions. The IT Support Intern will assist the Director of Information Technology in day-to-day tasks. A flexible schedule is allowed, but availability of 5 days per week is preferred.
Education & Experience:
Current college student, or recent graduate.
Applicants must be pursuing or have a completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Technology, or a related field. Those with equivalent work experience will be considered.
IT Helpdesk Administrator Certification preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service while responding to phone, e-mail, and online requests for technical support.
Track and monitor all support cases to ensure timely resolution and follow-up Collaborate with Program Staff.
Assist user support as needed.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of all relevant procedures and solutions in our knowledge base.
Clearly identify, document, and find solutions for customer issues and product problems.
Provide support with workstation setups, including creating badges, offering VPN assistance, and managing account registrations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Director of IT.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Internet.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent analysis, network security, and troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in GSuite & Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Ability to commute to our office in Union, NJ.
Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks.
Schedule:
We are offering flexible hours. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit to the office five days a week, for at least 3 to 4 hours.
