Are you an experienced Tax Analyst looking to round out your skillset? Have you always had an interest in international tax or perhaps you’re burnt out on Big Four and are looking for some more work/life balance? Come join our small but mighty team of Tax Analysts as an International Tax Manager. You’ll work closely with the Global Tax Director on all international corporate income tax matters. In this role, you’ll have visibility into the entire tax life cycle including tax planning, research, compliance, provision, audit assistance, and process improvements.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Income Taxes
    • Support preparation of U.S. international income tax compliance forms and schedules
    • Model U.S. international tax calculations including GILTI, Subpart F, and foreign tax credit expense allocations
    • Assist with U.S. or local country tax audits by gathering information needed to respond to information requests, drafting responses, researching issues, and negotiating settlements
    • Research tax treatment of business transactions and document conclusions.
  • Income Tax Accounting
    • Assist with calculation of tax rates, preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and application of ASC 740 covering both U.S and international taxes Coordinate with local country finance personnel and external advisors as required
  • Tax Research & Planning
    • Monitor tax legislative changes and update management regarding developments which impact Tennant.  Recommend changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
    • Assist the global tax director with development and implementation of tax planning strategies
    • Analyze potential tax exposure areas and develop recommendations to mitigate risk
    • Assist with acquisitions and divestitures focusing on both US and local country implications of transaction and structuring options
  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Documentation
    • Ensure compliance with SOX controls required in the income tax area
  • Other
    • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiencies in the tax compliance and provision reporting processes
    • Other ad-hoc projects as assigned

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate income tax experience in a large CPA firm and/or corporate tax department 
  • International tax experience desired but not required
  • CPA preferred
  • MBT or other advanced tax courses a plus
  • Working knowledge ASC 740 and SOX rules
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Sound business judgment including ability to look at issues from a non-tax perspective
  • Well-developed computer skills, including MS Office suite, tax software (Thomson Reuters OneSource), SAP, etc. a plus
