This Lockheed Martin EO Global Financial Services (GFS) Global Accounting position supports the International Accounting organization in Lakeland, FL. The International Accounting team is responsible for US and international financial management and accounting for numerous Lockheed Martin entities, as well as providing support for expats on international assignment.
Responsibilities for this technical position may include but are not limited to:
– legal entity financial management and accounting;
– contract accounting and financial management;
– revenue recognition;
– lease accounting;
– financial reporting;
– tax reporting;
– financial reviews and analysis;
– foreign currency accounting and analysis;
– supporting monthly, quarterly and year end closing processes;
– general ledger accounting, journal entries and reconciliations;
– identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex accounting variances or potential issues;
– integrating financial data from multiple systems, processes and functions;
– collaboration with LM business units and corporate partners;
– engaging with local accountants and partners in other countries in different time zones;
– internal and external audit support;
– SOX/CAMP+ internal controls adherence, documentation and reviews:
– process documentation;
– process improvements and automation efforts;
– special projects
This position requires support to business partners and customers which may include program finance, financial planning and analysis, controller’s organizations, accounting, corporate tax, corporate treasury, government finance, audit. Effective communication, both written and verbal, and a focus on providing excellent customer service are required.
This is a fast paced, challenging position where the candidate is expected to be a quick learner. The selected candidate will be expected to master various processes and systems while providing excellent support/service and achieving deadlines.
The team member is expected to demonstrate initiative and work independently as required, and is expected to successfully handle multiple and simultaneous tasks, assignments, priorities and deadlines. Strong organizational skills and effective time management are needed.
This position also requires highly developed strong accounting and analytical skills, to include the use of Excel. There are also opportunities for the team member to engage in process automation utilizing Excel power query, SAP scripting, and RPA.
The team member may review data and work provided by other peers and is expected to ensure accuracy before consolidating it into the final deliverable.
This role may also include the support of special projects and other responsibilities where the team member may identify, participate in, and/or lead unique tasks or assignments.
Basic Qualifications
– Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting/financial experience
– Bachelors level degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business field
– Demonstrated senior level financial management, accounting and analytical skills as evident and confirmed through related work experience, to include the support of accounting and financial reporting
– Demonstrated ability to focus on customers’ needs, provide excellent service, and effective support to partners and customers
– Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret US GAAP principles
Desired skills
– Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced, challenging environment with aptitude for various systems and processes
– International accounting, financial reporting experience
– Ability to independently and successfully research and resolve complex accounting matters
– Experience performing and understanding contract accounting tasks and transactions, including revenue recognition
– US Government finance/accounting experience
– Demonstrated experience performing and understanding foreign exchange transactions
– Indirect taxes (VAT/GST/HST/consumption) experience
– Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment through collaboration
– SAP experience
– Advanced level proficiency in Excel, Outlook
– Ability to identify, lead, and implement process improvements and automation enhancements

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $71,000 – $136,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
