Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks an Internal Strategic Consulting Expert at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for long range commercialization strategy for the BTP business in tight coordination with BTP solution owners, central product management, strategy team and peer groups at SAP.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

Lead ongoing commercialization strategy effort and responsible for driving key strategic initiatives in support of long-term growth plans (products, markets) and profitability objectives. Manage analytical and qualitative assessment of pricing models, ongoing management of strategic packaging and pricing projects, producing executive communication content, writing requirement documents for driving strategic outcomes, working with all pricing experts on dedicated topics involving business-analytics, supporting SAP product commercialization efforts and any operational process improvements, collaboration stakeholders including external consultants or internally with other SAP teams including Controlling, Portfolio, ID&A, IT, Store, Field Pricing, Marketing Ops, Product Marketing, Web Marketing, Publishing, Branding, Legal, COE functions, Solution owners, Product management etc. 25% travel required.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Business Analytics, Marketing or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience.

 

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 2 years in the following: Excel modeling skills, including experience running statistical analysis within Excel; problem solving and analytical business judgment skills; Presentation skills; Experience influencing Senior Executives and building relationships across functions, levels and geographies; PowerPoint Skills. Experience or coursework must also include: Software commercial models including, IAAS, SAAS and On Premise; Micro-pricing level (SKU) to the macro-pricing level (across the SAP portfolio, Region, Distribution Channel, Product lines). 25% travel required.

 

Travel: 25% travel required.

 

Salary Range: $167,960 to $251,855 per year

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 167,960 – 251,855 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
