What opportunity is available?
Clearview Group is looking to hire full-time Assurance & Advisory Interns for the summer of 2025 at our Corporate office in Owings Mills, MD. The 10-week internship program is tentatively set to start on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 and end on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025. Business hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EDT Monday through Friday. Interns will primarily work onsite to ensure ample opportunities for in-person mentoring and relationship building. However, in line with the flexible environment we foster, interns may work remote on occasion as coordinated with their direct manager.

What will this Intern do?
Under the direction and with the support of more senior team members, the Assurance & Advisory Intern will perform a variety of tasks that assist with the completion of projects such as financial statement reviews, financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, and more. Specific responsibilities may include, but may not be limited to:
- Assisting with external audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS)
- Facilitating the audit process by completing lead sheets, subsequent cash disbursements testing, contribution testing, etc.
- Performing detailed testing procedures on cash, investments, fixed assets, accounts payable, and
journal entries - Analyzing financial statements to identify data trends and anomalies
- Identifying and assessing risks of material misstatement on financial reports due to error and/or fraud
- Conducting compliance audits for governmental pension plans and/or contractual agreements
- Evaluating the effectiveness of internal control policies concerning the preparation of financial
statements - Testing contributions by:
- reviewing all payroll information sent from the client and plan sponsor
- utilizing a spreadsheet to determine how these contributions were calculated
- comparing these calculations to the client’s records to ensure no discrepancies exist
- Proactively communicating with the audit team on various aspects of engagements
- Identifying and researching clients’ accounting issues
- Compiling and analyzing client data from an external audit perspective
- Serving as a positive brand ambassador for Clearview when interfacing internally and externally
What is required for consideration?
- Minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application AND at time of internship program start
- Current student preparing to graduate in December 2025, May 2026 or December 2026
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- Intent to be a CPA within a few years after graduation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally to client sites if needed
