Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a part-time (~9-12 hours/week) High School Engineering Intern in our Kennesaw, Georgia office. The position offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations in support of a variety of project delivery needs including but not limited to civil site design, stormwater management design and analysis, environmental permitting, site inspections and investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, and remedial system design. The position is part-time (~9-12 hours/week) for approximately 13 to 15 weeks during the spring semester (January through April) 2025. Preferred candidates would have the ability to return to the position for up to two additional semester rotations during their undergraduate or graduate studies. Candidates are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools;
- Assist in report and proposal preparation;
- Data input and analyses;
- Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel; and
- Develop an understanding of the consulting profession.
Education and Licensure
- Currently registered as a student in a local area high school. (required)
- Career focus areas in civil, geotechnical, environmental or water resources engineering. (required)
- Written authorization to work as required under state laws depending on age. (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills. (required)
- Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office. (preferred)
