Insight FS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. Insight FS has 430+ employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 50,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. Insight FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Serves as the Energy Marketing intern under the direction of the Marketing Manager, trains and assists with general Marketing functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, industry representatives, and employees.
- Conduct marketing research and analysis.
- Develop, plan, and administer marketing strategies and projects by working with customers, vendors, and industry contacts.
- Customize and produce advertising and sales support materials, including direct mailers, literature, presentations, program introductions, and other materials.
- Develop and maintain marketing collaterals and websites
- Assist GROWMARK Energy Division and Member Services staff in the research, development and implementation of energy marketing programs and strategies.
- Understand GROWMARK Energy Division Operations, Supply and Technical services, and strategies.
- Assists in development and implementation of methods to measure the effectiveness of marketing plans and programs.
- Assists Energy Division, Members Services, and Members Companies in the implementation of new technologies, processes, and/or software.
- Understands the various roles and structure of Energy Division and works collaboratively with all areas to identify opportunities for improved customer service.
- Projects a positive, professional image in all workings with customers, industry representatives, and employees.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be pursuing a business, marketing, or related degree at a 4-year university with the status of at least a second semester junior or first semester senior in good academic standing at time the internship begins.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

- You are a university student with one or two semesters of coursework remaining
- You are in good academic status
