A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GOVERNMENTAL AUDITOR INTERN
The Intern performs a variety of basic auditing tasks utilizing client records and other pertinent material. Clients include governmental entities, public housing authorities, and other organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GOVERNMENTAL AUDITOR INTERN
- Working towards obtaining or has recently obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Preferably 0-2 years of experience in auditing
- Understands the basic principles, practices, methods and theories of auditing standards and accounting standards
- Basic knowledge of laws, ordinances, regulations and statutes which govern audit functions
- Proficient with current Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
