Minimum qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Talent Management or equivalent practical experience.
* 12 years of work experience including 7 years of experience in leadership development/talent management.
* 4 years of people management experience.
* Experience advising leaders to achieve talent, diversity, equity or inclusion business outcomes.

Preferred qualifications:

* Advanced degree in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Talent Management or other relevant field.
* Experience leading work related to talent segmentation, leadership potential identification, talent strategies, and/or talent development program design.
* Experience strategizing talent initiatives that resulted in improved workforce diversity, equity, or inclusion talent representation.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The People Development (PeopleDev) team works to strengthen Google by preparing Googlers to navigate their most critical challenges today and in the future. We leverage expertise, engaging content, tools, technology, and innovative design to scale learning and support Googlers at all stages of their careers. In addition to learning programs, classes, and resources, we also provide organizational development consulting and customized solutions that increase the health and performance of Google’s organizations and overall business.

As part of Google’s Talent Management team, you will lead the development of strategies to define, develop, and progress Google’s talent segments. The strategies you launch will combine both formal talent development programs and other systemic changes to provide holistic, innovative solutions that help optimize the growth and progression of talent across Google. You’ll play a key role in strengthening Google’s talent pipelines, with an aptitude for increased innovation, stronger business results, and improved employee engagement.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $209,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

* Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

* Oversee and design the progression strategies for critical talent segments, in alignment with Google’s global talent strategy and equity commitments.
* Define the strategy and approach for determining critical talent segments across Google.
* Oversee the assessment and diagnosis of key progression needs for each critical talent segment.
* Lead the team’s partnerships to activate system-wide support in performance, promotion, and retention.
* Develop partnerships within and beyond Google to support the design and delivery of progression programs
