SCI Engineering, Inc. is a professional consulting and engineering firm offering a variety of services from the design development stage through construction. We specialize in Geotechnical, Environmental, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources and Construction Testing services.

SCI is seeking a Geotechnical Intern currently enrolled in a under graduate or graduate degree program for Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering with the desire to learn more about Geotechnical Engineering.

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and coordinating site studies
• Perform Geotechnical/geological evaluations
• Perform field explorations and collect samples
• Perform geotechnical lab testing
• Perform engineering analyses and calculations
• Write reports and proposals
• Interact and communication with clients and staff
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills essential
• Must be personable and able to communicate with clients and staff at all levels
• This position requires critical thinking and analysis; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting and carrying 50+ pounds; working in all weather conditions; and driving to and from project sites.
• Must be currently enrolled in or a graduate of a relevant undergraduate degree field.
