Student Intern for Full Service Community Schools
Casual Position
Rate of pay: $15.00 per hour
Highview Academy: 3:25 pm – 6:00 pm
Cooper High School: 3:25 pm – 6:00 pm
Full Service Program Information:
Full service community schools promote academic excellence by offering an array of health and social services to students, families and community. Schools become community hubs that help meet the diverse needs of students, their families and the neighborhood. The partner offerings in full service community schools are open to everyone.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provide superior customer service
- facilitate/assist enrichment classes and other community activities
- Light office work
- Play in the gym and outdoors with children
- Set up and/or clean up snack
- Keep inventory, organizing, and cleaning program space
- Work with small groups of middle school and high school students
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be in 11th or 12th grade attending Cooper HIgh School or Robbinsdale Academy
- Ability to work with people from various cultures
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, clients and community agencies.
- Be on time, dependable and responsible
- Greet families and students
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Complete tasks or assignments with minimal supervision
