We are currently seeking to fill internship positions in the areas of Financial Planning and Accounting.

The 6 Month Internship program is a full-time role for six months beginning either December 2024 through June 2025 or May 2025 through January 2026.  We require candidates hired for this program commit to employment for the full 6 month term, as this may require you to take a semester off from school.

This is an office-based position for our office location in Armonk, NY.

You will be immersed in the operations of your assigned area, exposed to many aspects of the business and many of the basic functions of the company. Over your six months at IBM, you will gain a unique and in-depth understanding of the business and what makes it work.

Main job responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and interpret complex data while working on financial analysis & reporting
  • Acquire and apply business process knowledge along with analytic models in order to improve business outcomes
  • Understand the business model for your respective business unit and demonstrate organizational awareness
  • Understand and accomplish work objectives through the use of applications that support the retrieval or management of financial data

Candidates should possess the following basic qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Finance/Accounting or closely related undergraduate degree program
  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Candidates must have the ability to work in the US without current or future need for sponsorship

Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role.
