As a Finance Manager at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in determining the company’s long term goals. You will primarily be responsible for partnering with business leaders to deliver financial analysis and insights that help support the organization’s strategic priorities and drive business results. You will collaborate cross-functionally with other stakeholders and establish trusted relationships across an organization. The Finance Manager implements the design for new processes and impactful financial analyses to support various functions across the business. You will also assist with corporate forecasting, strategic planning, and support the accounting close and reporting processes.
 
What You’ll Work On
Partner with business leaders to understand key drivers of operating expenses to help leaders make strategic decisions
• Partner with Corporate Strategy team and business leaders to assist with forecasting and strategic planning
• Develop and maintain periodic financial reports and analyses and develop KPIs and metrics to track business trends
• Collaborate with IT to provide real-time intelligence to the business
• Help implement financial reporting processes to support business leaders that may include the use of systems and tools
• Support the Accounting team during the financial close process
• Provide ad hoc support to executives and business leaders across a range of strategic initiatives
• Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
• Lead and manage team projects and cross functional initiatives
 
What You Contribute
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field with 8+ years of directly related experience in a similar position (Corporate Finance, Management Consulting, FP&A, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships
• Successful track record of working collaboratively with teams. Experience partnering with non-Finance departments (e.g., IT, Marketing, Clinical, etc. teams).
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing and/or high growth companies preferred
• Excellent financial modeling skills and analytical capabilities
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the big picture
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Experience with Anaplan, Tableau, Workiva, and SAP ERP preferred (or similar applications)
• Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment with confidential and sensitive information
• Demonstrates potential in leadership qualities
Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. May have business travel from 0% – 10%. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 5 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range:  $146,587 – $194,800 / year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
