The External Outreach Specialist is a pivotal role within ACBE , tasked with driving and shaping external engagement initiatives to support the strategic objectives of the Career Advancement and Student Success team as well as the External Relations team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Relations, this position is responsible for leading the strategic coordination of employer-driven events, managing high-impact job postings on internal platforms, and crafting compelling communications for external partner events and talent recruitment through the ACBE career newsletter. In this role, the External Outreach Specialist will act as the key liaison between external outreach efforts and the internal Career Advancement team, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimizing career development experiences for students. This position requires a strategic leader with exceptional time management, organizational skills, and a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and possess a proactive mindset with a willingness to adapt to changing conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize internal programs are essential. The role also involves collaborating with a range of internal and external university partners to enhance career development, employment, and diversity outcomes for ACBE students.
Responsibilities
External Partner Management Formulate comprehensive outreach strategies to actively engage and establish partnerships with new employers, driving growth and collaboration. Leverage university and school technologies such as Handshake, 12Twenty, 25Live, Qualtrics, Lightcast, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, SAP Concur, and HubSpot to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategies and programming that align with ACBE goals and objectives, ensuring cohesive and impactful initiatives. Support employer partners in achieving their talent acquisition goals through innovative program development and execution, fostering strong, mutually beneficial relationships. Conduct in-depth research and deliver detailed reports on current hiring trends and employment statistics to inform and execute effective outreach strategies. Assist employer partners with job postings and role management on internal platforms, ensuring seamless and efficient processes. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the team. Event Management Strategically coordinate, plan, and execute both on- and off-campus events involving employer and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration with university catering and event Act as the primary on-site liaison and manager for external partner events, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any issues that arise. Collaborate with internal teams and student ambassadors to create and develop compelling marketing materials and campaigns for employer and external partner events. Oversee event registration processes, compile comprehensive attendance reports, and conduct attendee satisfaction surveys to ensure continuous improvement. Represent the Corporate Relations team at various high-profile meetings and events both on and off campus, fostering strong relationships. Efficiently process catering payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the team. Campus and Community Engagement Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance engagement between students and employers. This includes leading the planning, facilitation, and marketing of high-impact external partner events and initiatives that align with institutional goals and foster meaningful student-employer interactions. Increase participation in employer events, including career fairs and networking events, and lead boutique job fair planning and implementation. Oversee the creation and strategic management of the weekly career advancement team newsletter for ACBE students. Ensure content is relevant, impactful, and aligns with career development goals. Additionally, lead the creation and management of a monthly employer partner newsletter, enhancing stakeholder communication and engagement. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the employer partner CRM database. Direct the management and optimization of the employer partner CRM database. Ensure data accuracy and integrity, and leverage CRM tools to analyze trends, track engagement metrics, and assist in driving strategic decision-making. Marketing Lead student ambassadors and work with college partners in the development of high-quality flyers and collateral for strategic event communication. Ensure that materials effectively convey the event’s value proposition and align with brand guidelines. Strategically distribute a weekly newsletter focused on career advancement and employer engagement. Leverage analytics to optimize content and enhance engagement with target audiences. Manage and execute external relations social media strategies for event promotion and brand awareness, including crafting and posting content on platforms like LinkedIn. Other Responsibilities Oversee the compilation and analysis of expense reports for the corporate relations team. Ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional budgeting and financial policies. Undertake additional projects and duties as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience. 3-4 years of customer service or event management experience. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
