The Enrichment & Extended Day Facilitator/Snack Coordinator offers support to the Director, Enrichment Vendors, and After-School classroom teachers by providing supervision of transitions to and from their Enrichment classes, oversees accurate carpool and bus dismissals, and provides a variety of healthy snack choices for both Enrichment and After-school. The Facilitator plans and schedules the Enrichment transitions effectively and with careful supervision, including attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving strategies. The Facilitator considers all of the children’s allergies during snack planning. During teacher workdays and non-enrichment season, the Facilitator offers support as a Floater in TK-5th, helps with lunches, and assists the Director with the teacher workroom organization and ordering of supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Functions Related to Enrichment and Extended Day
Provide support to the Director of After-School with all aspects of the Enrichment Programs, including:
vendor communication while on campus,
attending to the children’s behavior and medical needs,
drive students on a minibus to and from Enrichment programs,
carpool and bus dismissal procedures, and
keeping up with daily emails related to transportation changes,
other duties assigned as needed.
Take Pictures during Enrichment classes and then share them with the Administrative Assistant.
Ensure students go to their assigned Bus and or Carpool dismissal locations after their enrichment.
Provide close supervision to ensure children’s safety during Enrichment class, playground, and walking to the bus/carpool.
Keep the Director informed of any behavior/medical problems that may have occurred during Enrichment and or on the bus.
Primary Functions Related to Snack Coordinator
Create a healthy monthly snack calendar and share it with the Director by the deadline for approval.
Shop for the monthly snacks during regularly scheduled work hours; use the school credit card for all school-related shopping.
Maintain monthly snack budget for Hawks’ Club and Enrichment.
Inventory maintenance and control of snacks and workroom supplies.
Primary Functions related to Communication and General Support of the Program
Communicate with parents, vendors, and fellow staff in person, via email, phone, and text daily in a timely, professional, and appropriate manner.
Meet with Director monthly to discuss how Enrichment classes and dismissal procedures are going.
Provide substitute care when needed if a teacher is absent and another substitute cannot be scheduled.
Works during the teacher/professional work days throughout the academic year (typical hours are 7:30-4:45). Days will be set with the Facilitator and communicated at the start of the school year.
Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with school-age children is preferred.
Safety procedures, First Aid and CPR are essential. (Training provided by CLS)

Strong management skills, commitment to safety, and civility
Exhibit willingness to have a growth mindset for learning new material and new ways of managing transitions
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Google Docs, and Google Drive
