SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Director, Media this role will focus on day-to-day reporting and analytics support of paid media activations to drive awareness, consideration and conversions across new and returning customers, including Paid Social, Paid Search, Affiliates, Display, CTV, OOH.
Essential Responsibilities
Omni-Media Reporting Support (40%)
Create and update daily paid media tracker to enable communication of blended and channel-specific media performance leveraged to support growth KPIs across all channels (elemis.com, Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, QVC, Department Stores, etc.).
Work closely with the Senior Director, Media in the development & execution of executive media dashboards that summarize paid media trends for omni media.
Communicate with agencies to gather additional data points needed to consolidate data and deliver accurate & timely delivered reporting.
Build ad-hoc reporting for the Senior Director, Media to support decision-making on media mix, media spend allocation across campaigns and/or distribution channels.
Collaborate with other data analytics stakeholders across finance, CRM and BI on data optimizations for the business.
Omni-Media Analytics Support (40%)
Run analysis leveraging datasets from ad networks (eg.: Google, Meta, TikTok, Youtube, Affiliate Networks, etc.), e-commerce platforms (eg.: Magento, Shopify), and analytics tools (eg.:GA4, Northbeam), to uncover opportunities to optimize the media program.
Turn data into insights/learnings that can be actioned for ongoing media program optimizations.
Omni-Media Planning (20%)
Support Senior Director, Media with research of market and media trends, plus competitor analysis.
Research and propose analytics tools that can help expedite data gathering, data manipulation, and data visualization.
Sustainability Responsibility
Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS – Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars
Qualifications & Characteristics
Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), 1-2 years of experience in data science, data analytics, or paid media as an intern or full-time. Previous experience in ad agencies is a plus.
Working knowledge or coursework in data science and knowledge of data science languages such as R, SQL, and Python.
Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo.
Fundamental knowledge of statistics with hands-on experience in A/B testing, regression analysis, t-test.
Knowledge of paid media attribution (MTA, MMM, incrementality lifts).
Ability to support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from Senior Director, Media and other marketing stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity and passion to understand different business models.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate technical analysis to various audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to successfully multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Able to interact professionally with external clients to help drive digital account success and with internal cross-functional partners.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheet).
Interest for beauty industry and paid media trends.
Please note that our internships pay at a rate of $17/hour and are part-time, HYBRID opportunities – all interns must be able to report to our NYC office on Wednesdays, in addition to a choice of Tuesday OR Thursday. Interns additionally must be authorized to work in the United States for the semester.
