HOW YOU’LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
The Salesforce Architect will serve as the subject matter expert on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform, providing design and data support for SFMC in support of Delta Marketing’s implementation.
They will partner with the internal data team, as well as agency partners, to design and develop data extensions, suppression lists, automatons, Journeys, imports, and extracts. Throughout the process, this role ensures that we’re following Salesforce best practices for leveraging the system while maintaining secure and stable environments.
In this role, you will help us continuously improve by identifying, creating, and enhancing internal systems and processes based on recurring Marketing requests, business goals, or evolving industry standards. The architect will also ensure we are building and maintaining data privacy processes and safeguards to ensure that our Marketing requirements remain CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliant.
The Salesforce Architect will have responsibility for ensuring the Marketing data team and IT understand how the data is structured as well as how to best leverage it. They will partner to understand business needs and ensure that the email data is properly represented in dashboards and other reporting frameworks. Additional responsibilities include recommending and preparing documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, configuration and master data maintenance that can be handled by super users.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

–Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, marketing or a related field required
–Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) experience including designing and building data extensions and automations as well as complex data solutions and extracts required.
–Minimum 5 years of marketing automation experience.
–Strong communication / interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with different roles across Marketing and IT.
–Work with team members and business partners to understand new marketing campaigns and translate into platform capabilities.
–Successfully influences diverse groups and teams in a complex, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment to deliver value-added solutions.
–Maintain and communicate system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity.
–Develop email automations and supporting code using the Marketing Cloud platform and its native scripting language.
–Collaborate with agency partners and internal data teams to design/develop segments, data extensions, suppression lists, imports and exports.
