Data Analyst / Accounting Specialist

Pivot Parking is seeking a Data Analyst / Accounting Specialist for the Mint Street Parking Garage in Charlotte, NC. This role is an on-site position responsible for overseeing all accounting functions related to revenue collection, financial reporting, and customer account management. Additionally, the position will provide valuable data analysis to support data-driven decision-making regarding parking rates, operational efficiency, and revenue optimization.

JOB SUMMARY:  

• Full-time – Monday – Friday typical with possibility of nights and weekends if needed when large events occur.
• ON-SITE – Charlotte, NC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting & Revenue Management:

• Oversee the reconciliation of daily parking revenues, ensuring accuracy in collections and reporting.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to Pivot Parking and the client, maintaining transparency and accuracy in all accounting functions.
• Monitor revenue trends, discrepancies, and variances, and work to resolve any issues.
• Assist with audits and compliance reviews related to parking revenue management.

Customer Support & Account Management:

• Assist customers with parking accounts, including payments, access issues, and account inquiries.
• Ensure seamless customer experience by addressing and resolving payment disputes or errors.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account adjustments.

Data Analysis & Decision Support:

• Analyze parking revenue data and trends to provide insights into rate optimization and revenue opportunities.
• Generate reports and dashboards to help the operations team and clients make informed decisions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify areas for operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations based on data findings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or data analytics—experience in parking, transportation, or a related industry is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization).
  • Experience with accounting software and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with parking revenue systems (PARCS) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
