We are seeking a Compliance Program Manager to join the OCI as a sought after Intern. You will be responsible for the uplifting and maturing a breadth of compliance programs that support the Cloud Infrastructure product offerings.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting OCI’s compliance programs within the Data Center Operations Services (DCS) space, working with Third Party Colo-location vendors to build out commercial and government compliance requirements, as well as physical security control frameworks. The candidate will support DCS to validate compliance and monitor remediation efforts for identified risks and gaps. This role is required to support the planning, coordinating, and documenting assessments. This opportunity will foster and nurture relationships with DCS stakeholders to gain consensus approvals on strategies, recommendations, findings, project plans, etc.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Build and maintain Program Schedule to provide strategic visibility and accurate forecasting needed to support the organization
  • Support the development and implementation process improvements across key DCS stakeholders
  • Support operating procedures for all aspects of the audit program
  • Oversee milestones and deliverables meet any identified compliance gaps
  • Support and advance workflows to monitor health of internal controls
  • Identify areas for improvement, develop project plans to resolve gaps and findings
  • Support internal data center assessment program
  • Own and drive a relationship with key business stakeholder(s) to understand their internal processes 
  • Drive process improvement and control implementation projects through coordination with service teams
  • Strong ability to dive down into the weeds and get tactical without losing sight of strategic vision

The ideal intern will have the following skills:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Key Skills: Information Security, Program Management, and Process Improvement
  • Compliance / Audit and Data Center knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in Senior Leadership status reporting and metrics
  • Tactical thinker who can develop, evangelize and execute procedures in a high tempo environment
  • Basic understanding of risk management principles
  • Ability to combine business and technical acumen
  • Ability to influence & gain buy-in across multiple levels of management
  • Capable of prioritizing, managing, and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
  • Bias toward action, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate within a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email)
  • Positive attitude, team player, self-starter; takes initiative, ability to work independently

Required Skills and Experience:

US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred

BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Program/Project Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related experience preferred including assisting with:

  • Able to comprehend and follow verbal and written technical instructions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication (local language).
  • Basic verbal and written communication in English
  • Self-starter who asks questions to seek greater understanding
  • Active listening skills with Customers and Partners
  • Resilient to change and ability to pivot quickly

Preferred Education and Experience:

BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Program/Project Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related experience preferred including assisting with:

  • Collect, analyze and present data for decision making
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Independent problem-solving
  • Build trust with technical and non-technical peers

Interns will engage in on-the-job training and professional development in fields such as information technology, technical/systems consulting, technical support, facilities, finance, human resources, logistics, marketing, sales or developmental training in sales or for customer support (as available).

Additional Information:

Hourly wage is $25 per hour.  This is a 40 hour per week position
