We are looking for college intern who will be passionate to work for Envoy Air, the largest regional airline part of the American Airlines Group (AAG). This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals to share your creative ideas to continue to build the Envoy brand, support recruiting efforts and translate complex concepts into easy to understand materials for our different audiences.  Envoy operates Embraer E-175 aircraft and has a new fleet E-170 aircraft. The regional airline has expanded its network outside of the U.S. to international destinations in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

 

Our paid 11-week summer internship will not only enhance your studies, but also provide an educational experience you can’t find in the classroom. As an intern, you will learn real world skills while building a professional network of future peers. You will learn the ins and outs of how your team impacts the business day to day and gain an understanding of the commercial aviation business.

 

This position will be based in the Miami metroplex and the intern will report to our office located at Miami International (MIA) Airport.



Responsibilities

As an intern, you will learn real world skills while building a professional network of future peers. You will learn the ins and outs of how your team impacts the business day to day and gain an understanding of the commercial aviation business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a model based on the collected data to more accurately predict SSR activity and employees need.
  • Assist Avtech and Envoy with data gathering, organizing, analyzing and sharing findings.
  • Reviews data to identify key insights, trends, and patterns to solve activity forecast problems.
  • Combining data from different sources and provide a unified view.
  • Create one single platform for HC reports, daily manning’s, bid, budget that incorporates tracking of Lost time and attrition.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.

Typical job duties include:

  • Meet daily/weekly and/or on demand with Hub VP and staff to identify data opportunities.
  • Interact and collaborate with Different Departments both local and EHDQ.
  • Collect all available reports across platforms and work units.
  • Obtain feedback from VP and staff to discard/retain only necessary.
  • Consolidate in preferably one or the least possible platforms.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects to meet deadlines and objectives. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time and be self-motivated.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Statistics, Computer Sciences or Information Systems or you earned a Microsoft Data Analyst Certification.
  • Must be classified as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student upon start of internship.
  • 3.0 minimum Grade Point Average
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must demonstrate the highest degree of integrity as work involves access to confidential data
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
