LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking a Class Coordinator for the Extended Day Program that will partner with the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
After-school classroom coordinators are responsible for the education and care of children in an after-school program. +
Their duties include but is not limited to
- Assist children with assignments and homework, such as reading, writing, and math.
- Provide supervision during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Ensure daily attendance is taken and reported accurately
- Assist in the supervision of high school staff
- Interact with children to provide a positive and safe environment
- Meet with parents to discuss important concerns
- Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment and ensuring students conduct themselves appropriately.
- Ensure that all school rules, policies, and guidelines are adhered to in the classroom
Salary: $25.00 per hour
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Chief Academic Officer.
Program Hours: 3:15-6:15
