Civil Engineer Intern – Structural – Fort Worth, TX
Halff is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern in our Fort Worth, TX office to join our Structural team. The Structural Engineering Intern will assist in the planning and design of bridge and building design projects while working as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE. Structural Engineer Intern Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team that designs structural engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Will help design projects such as buildings, hydraulic structures, Civil Structures, and vehicular bridges
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects
- Will help review the production of construction drawings for own work
- Will help review project budgets
- Assist with drafting CAD work and help perform calculations and analysis for design projects
Structural Engineer Intern Requirements:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Interested in Structural Design & plan production
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
- Good communication skills
Structural Engineer Intern Preferred Requirements:
- 0 to 3 years of experience with design projects such as buildings, hydraulic structures, Civil Structures, and vehicular bridges
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree and pursuing Master’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.
