Civil Engineer Intern – INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) – Tallahassee, FL
Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team in our Tallahassee, FL office. The Civil Engineering Intern will assist in providing plans production and design analysis support to our transportation group in Northwest Florida.
Civil Engineer Intern – ITS Responsibilities:
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Prepare design analysis
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for ITS projects
- Perform drafting MicroStation and ORD formats
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Civil Engineer Intern – ITS Requirements:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Great communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.
