09/10/2024 Under the supervision of the School Principal at Academy of International Studies Elementary in South Windsor, the Building Substitute teacher will facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum and plans provided. The candidate would provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals during the assigned position.
The Substitute needs to possess some knowledge of current teaching methods, be able to communicate effectively and maintain collaborative working relationships with others in the hopes of making a difference in the education of our students. This is a utility position in our school, the candidate has to be very flexible and take directions. Placement in classrooms is dependent on coverage and need and may vary day to day.
The hours are 8:30am – 3:45pm.
Bachelor’s degree required.
