ABA- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Intern I

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking a passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Intern I to provide, evaluate, and implement behavior therapy services to pediatric clients with a variety of needs at our Houston location.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor�s Degree
  • RBT experience preferred
  • Master�s Degree from an accredited program OR enrolled in an Master�s level accredited program for ABA to be completed within the next 6 months

Job Duties:

  • Adhere to Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
  • Keep all aspects of a client�s personal information and treatment plan confidential and in compliance with HIPAA laws
  • Engage in activities that are behavior analytic in nature and found within the BCBA Fifth Edition Task list
  • Track accruing experience hours and supervision
  • Engage in supervisory experiences with the supervisor for at least 5% of total hours accrued per month for the entire duration of the fieldwork experience
  • Accrue at least 20, but no more than 130 hours per month towards total fieldwork hours
  • Assist supervising BCBA in staff trainings following your training outline
  • Assist supervising BCBA in parent meetings following your training outline
  • Assist supervising BCBA in conducting initial and ongoing assessments following your training outline
  • Assist supervising BCBA in writing treatment plans and assessment reports following your training outline
  • Research current literature that is behavior analytic in nature
  • Supports all members of the staff and assists with ideas, suggestions and work duties when needed
  • Attend and actively participates in staff training programs designed to increase overall skills
  • Attends and participates in meetings, fundraisers and other company-sponsored events
  • Consistently implements behavior plans to reduce client�s socially inappropriate behavior and promote appropriate social behaviors
  • Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may include client physical aggression
  • Continually pursue professional growth and act as a resource for expertise in the field of ABA Therapy
  • Assume personal responsibility for professional development and continuing education
  • Demonstrate skills of effective time management
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal communication skills while maintaining standards of professional ethics
  • Perform other duties as delegated, required or requested by your supervising BCBA or per your supervision contract/training outline
