Audit Intern
What you will be doing:
As an LSL Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside all professional levels that will provide you with a real-world understanding of public accounting. You will have the opportunity to learn the LSL firm culture and values and at the same time gain valuable knowledge and experience at a top regional accounting firm in Orange County. Our Audit Interns will assist the Commercial Assurance Department during the busy season starting immediately.

What you will be doing:
- Assurance engagements
- Evaluate internal controls.
- Preparation of audit work papers.
- Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to support client engagements
- Work with the Audit team (staff, senior, manager, and partner) on client projects
- Develop an understanding of and capability with accounting software, CCH, Practice CS, Engagement
- Develop administrative, professional, and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze, and communicate with others in a productive and efficient manner
Education Level: Junior or Senior level currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or economics
Requirements to be Successful:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and interpret rules, procedures, and routine correspondence in English
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
- Completion of audit class
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required
Work Authorization:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
