About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Audit Director on the Financial Crimes Audit Team (FiCAT). The Audit Director will be an integral part of the FiCAT leadership team. The Financial Crimes Audit Team provides horizontal audit coverage of financial crimes risk across Wells Fargo lines of business. FiCAT oversees, manages, and executes BSA/AML/OFAC related audits across Wells Fargo lines of business, and evaluates the system of internal controls and processes related to financial crimes. In this role, you will:
- Lead a high performing team of approximately 25-40 audit professionals
- Maintain credible, collaborative and influential relationships with senior management, other risk organizations, and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate and partner with other specialist audit teams, as appropriate, to ensure comprehensive audit coverage
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of financial crime risk and processes leveraged to manage this risk at Wells Fargo.
- Evaluate current audit approaches and audit practices. Provide thought leadership on leading industry practices and drive continued maturation and evolution of the audit function.
- Develop and execute an annual audit plan which evaluates critical risks to Wells Fargo and applies strong, pragmatic professional judgment.
- Communicate audit results to senior executives and using the role within Audit to influence the organization.
- Identify thematic risk trends observed across the portfolio for purposes of influencing strategic control direction and process maturity.
- Keep abreast of changes to regulatory requirements and emerging technologies.
- Partner with management to identify and anticipate impact of a changing environment and effectively develop audit strategies to address significant risks.
- Manage people, projects, and workflow across multiple geographies.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Represent FiCAT as a highly engaged, visible, and influential leader.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes
- Experience leading audit, risk, or regulator teams focused on BSA/AML compliance for large banking institutions
- Certification in one or more of the following: CAMS, CIA, CPA
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders across senior levels in an organization
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and building an effective audit approach to evaluate information and risk in this ever-changing risk environment
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or higher
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to influence management, build strong trusted relationships and drive change designed to mitigate risk.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven leadership experience with multi-functional teams across multiple locations
- Proven leadership experience building highly talented individuals and teams
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$173,300.00 – $359,900.00
