About the Role:

We are currently searching for an intern to join our private equity accounting team based out of East Brunswick, NJ. This person will assist in preparing quarterly packages to help satisfy reporting requirements for the private equity funds and provide other support to the accounting team on an as needed basis.



Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Book journal entries
  • Assist with quarter end work paper preparation
  • Prepare quarterly investor capital account statements
  • Prepare investor contact reconciliations for investor communications
  • Assist with sending out investor communications via our online investor platform and reconcile delivery reports to confirm delivery
  • Assist with capital calls and distributions
  • Save and organize monthly bank statements
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations to help manage cash availability, book transactions, and monitor incoming and outgoing wires
  • Prepare invoices and supporting files for intercompany reimbursements
  • Ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor


Qualifications

  • Are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in accounting, finance, or business with emphasis in accounting
  • Have a 3.0+ GPA
  • Have very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Have attention to detail
  • Work well independently and within a team atmosphere
  • Are a self-starter, with ability to operate effectively with limited supervision
